This person called my Mother & said she was my brother. A friend called & texted this #. Person says never heard of my Brother & couldn’t answer a question re. who his sister is.
So why call my elderly Mom? My mom thought it was a female, didn’t know who it was & was confused (she isn’t easily confused). This person used info easily found on FB where my Mom spends some time.
I think this was the s**** of a scam.
Tricking an elderly person into thinking it’s her son (esp. since she’s sick from cancer ) is not ok.
It’s a female passing herself off as a dude.
Scam. No doubt next call will be to borrow $$. My Mom d/n answer me if “he” asked to borrow money & if she sent him some. She may be too embarrassed to tell me she was tricked. Not sure. I’ll find out though . Indeed I will.
